This site has been up for quite a while, and quite frankly, I forgot about this portion of my site. So… who’s Patrick?

I’ve been an IT professional since 1994, and started out in office networking and hardware (building computers/servers). I’ve been programming on and off throughout that period, in C/C++, VB, PHP, JavaScript (more advanced JQuery stuff), and recently some Python.

I’ve been running my own business(s) on the side throughout school and later when I started up in the IT career. Recently, I was working as the Statistics Department Manager for an internet management company. It was fun (but fairly stressful). It was where I moved into analytics (both web and off-line) full time, and sharpened my data mining skills. I got to do a lot of work with cross-channel integration and designing proprietary data warehousing solutions as well. We worked on an internally developed statistics suite with a web interface, but I hear that since my departure it has been retired.

Presently, I’m working at Unilyitcs – a web analytics consulting firm (they also do Webtrends and SiteCatalyst licensing). My ofifcial title is ‘senior web analytics consultant’, but I’ve been working on some pretty cool development projects that we are starting to sell. The work is great, and I enjoy helping people with their site tracking. The biggest kick-back though is seeing the look on their faces when I start introducing some of the advanced topics that can enable tracking they didn’t know was possible. It’s fun!

I have many many side/intrest projects, most of which don’t get very far. Unilytics keeps me busy, so my free time is chopped up between gaming, working on projects, and spending time with friends/family.
